LOMELT 208

  • For reclamation of rail road points and crossings, frogs and switches. For reclaiming wornout parts of excavators & dredgers. Ideal for welding of alloy steels & manganese steels. Especially recommended for use on parts requiring resistance to high impact and severe abrasion.

LOMELT 209
  • Tough work hardening deposits.
  • High crack resistance.
  • Good wear resistance under heavy impact conditions.
  • For reclamation of rail road points and crossings, hammers and crusher rollers. Ideal for welding of high austenitic manganese steels. Specially recommended for parts requiring good wear resistance under heavy impact conditions.

LOMELT 301
  • Strong, tough and machinable deposit on low & medium carbon steel and low alloy steels.

  • Ideal for cushion layer prior to hard facing.
  • For applications where resistance to severe impact on ferrous parts subjected to heavy shock loading and pounding in service is desired. A specially formulated flux coating allows rapid metal deposition. Deposits are completely machinable.

LOMELT 301(SPL)
  • Heavy machinable build up with very low spatters.

  • For applications where resistance to severe impact on ferrous parts subjected to heavy shock loading and pounding in service is desired. A specially formulated flux coating allows rapid deposition with very low spatters. Deposits are completely machinable.

LOMELT 302
  • Tough weld metal with easy slag removal.
  • Easy arc strike and re-strike.
  • All position welding and multipass buildup.
  • For overlaying on parts subjected to abrasive wear and impact. Can be used on steels, manganese steels and malleable iron. Especially recommended for multipass buildup. Electrode can be used in all positions.

LOMELT 303
  • Resists high abrasion.
  • Tough, dense and porosity free deposits in all positions.

  • For protective coating on parts subjected to abrasive wear and some impact. Can be used on carbon steels, manganese steels and malleable iron. Can be used on both new or worn out parts. Recommended for multi-pass buildup in all positions. Good resistance to low stress scratching and high stress gauging.

LOMELT 303(S)
  • Resists wear due to abrasion.

LOMELT 304
  • All position iron carbide type electrode.
  • Tough and porosity free deposits.

  • Good for multipass buildup.
  • Deposits provide low coefficient of friction after polishing in service. For steel parts combating severe abrasive conditions. Extensively recommended for hardfacing of components in Cement, Mining and Construction industries.

LOMELT 305

  • For non-cracking, long life and wear resistance properties under heavy impact. A ferrous base electrode with additions of alloying elements to improve welding properties. Recommended as a cushion layer on carbon steels prior to hardfacing.

LOMELT 306
  • Extremely tough weld deposit.

  • For extremely ductile and non-cracking welds on austenitic manganese steels. A ferrous base electrode with additions of nickel, manganese and some other alloying elements to improve weldability. Recommended on carbon/alloy steel as cushion layer prior to hardfacing.

LOMELT 307

  • Gives good combination of hardness, toughness & compressive strength.

  • For superior weldability and compressive strength. The specially formulated flux coating helps in fast and uniform deposition rate. Can be used where abrasion & erosion resistance is required on carbon steels, alloy steels, Mn steel & cast iron.

LOMELT 308
  • High alloy electrode with excellent combination of toughness and hardness.
  • Resists scaling and retains hardness at elevated temperatures.

  • For good compressive strength and superior weldability. For use where a combination of hardness and toughness is desired on carbon and alloy steels, manganese steels and cast irons. For application where erosion, abrasion & impact are to be resisted.

LOMELT 310
  • Excellent resistance to deformation at high temperatures.
  • Excellent compatibility with die steel.
  • Machinable with carbide tools.
  • Suitable for reclamation & buildup on drop forging tools in all positions. Repair of damaged profile and total rebuilding of undersized die blocks. Hardfacing of component to provide high hardness & toughness combined with good machinability e.g. gear pinion teeth etc.

LOMELT 311
  • Micro crack & porosity free deposits.
  • Hard and tough deposits which are machinable.

  • For application requiring all position welding & good high temperature hardness, multi-pass buildup and good machinability. Also recommended for components subjected to large compressive strength with moderate abrasion or metal to metal wear combined with impact or thermal shock. Can be used on plain carbon steels and ferritic/martensitic low & medium alloy steels.

LOMELT 314
  • Very thick single layer deposit with very high recovery.
  • Very high hardness in first layer.
  • Outstanding resistance to wear due to Abrasion combined with pressure and impact.
  • An electrode with very high hardness and outstanding resistance to wear due to severe abrasion is recommended for hard facing on Carbon Steels, Manganese Steels, Cast Iron and Stainless Steels. The hard constituents of the weld deposit provide outstanding resistance to wear due to abrasion combined with pressure and impact. Recommended where very high hardness is required in the first layer.

LOMELT 315

LOMELT 380

  • No finishing required.
  • Highly effective electrode specially developled to surface sugar mill cane feed rolls. LOMELT 380 deposits a high alloy chromium carbide weld metal in globular form. These hard globules increase the effective surface resulting in lower level of moisture in bagasse. The deposits of LOMELT 380 gradually wears out during crusing season but the rolls are protected without any change in diameter. The life of roughening deposit varies from mill to mill depending upon the quality of fibre contents present in cane. However the process to replenish the roughening of feed rolls with LOMELT 380 can be carried out in wet conditions without any stoppage of the mill thereby avoiding downtime and production loses.

LOMELT 701
  • Unmatched resistance to corrosion due to oxidizing acids even at elevated temperatures

  • For rebuilding of worn out components which are used for handling hot metal or work under high temperature conditions. Deposits have unmatched resistance to corrosion due to oxidizing acids, salts, chlorine bearing compounds and mixed acids etc. even at elevated temperatures. Recommended for joining and build up of Hastalloys, Inconels & Illiums. Also recommended for joining of these high alloys to mild steel, low carbon steels and stainless steels.
